Space As A Dustbin (SPACE JUNK)!
Over the past few years of great space explorations and achievements we have developed for ourselves a minor bump on the road, and this bump is known as Space Junk or Space Debris. They are made up of all kinds of wastes like used up rocket stages, launch canisters, dust and paint flakes.....even cameras, garbage bags, wrench, pliers and an astronaut's glove are now a part of EXTRATERRESTRIAL LITTER. Today we will talk about it's consequences, prevention and how fast is it moving.
>More About It:-
Space junk has been growing since the start of Space Age for humans (Sputnik 1) i.e 4th October, 1957. This debris includes all sizes of objects from as large as abandoned satellites to as small as nuts and bolts.
They sure are fast, even faster than a speeding bullet. They can collide with other objects at over 22,300 mph. Collisions with these tiny pieces can make dents and pits on the bodies of different satellites, let me explain this with an example in 2006, a piece of space junk collided with International Space Station, taking out chip out of the heavily reinforced window.

>Prevention:-
Well, there are some institutions who have proposed programs to check this problem, and one of them is........yes, you guessed it right, NASA. Their program is called the Space Debris Elimination Program. They have come up with a pretty impressive plan....what am I saying....I mean the're NASA. They will shoot gases into space in order to minimize the debris orbit, so that can later fall back to Earth, and burn up in the atmosphere.
The European Space Agency came up with their own idea which they told us about in 2014, it's called E-DeOrbit. Actually it is a machine that they plan to send in space which will shoot old satellites and then release them into the atmosphere with the help of rocket or small missile.
>Conclusion:-
If this problem grows continuously then space expeditions in the future would become more and more dangerous and expensive. But, I have full faith in the brilliant scientists of Earth and I know that they will come up with the right thing.
